Artists Mary Rothlisberger, Molly Goldberg, and Erin Johnson launched Oakland-based pirate radio station K-OKAY, 88.1 in 2011. They broadcasted from a closet station in a North Oakland home and created collapsible listening stations to be shared throughout the neighborhood. Additionally, they worked with students at San Francisco International High School students to share their poems about identity, immigration, and community.
